Location:
Somerset, England
Project:
Nature reserve visitor facilities. Above ground installation of 3 X BIOROCK-F small sewage treatment plants discharging to a nearby stream.
Background:
The nature reserve has significant fluctuation in visitor volumes throughout the year varying from less than 100 visitors per day to several thousand over a busy weekend. Hence the system needs to be able to cope with this fluctuation in activity. The BIOROCK System is ideally suited to this type of application and combined with the non-electrical operation, low maintenance and high quality of treated effluent. The small sewage water treatment plant was selected as the most suitable for this site.
